Dr Lawes and Dr Dismorr are a husband and wife who have been in partnership since
1985 and have four children. Dr Finlay joined the partnership in 1993 and she
is married with children.
The doctors practise together as a non-limited partnership.

Yvonne and Angie is concerned with the administration of the medical
centre and supervise all reception staff. If you have any suggestions to make for an improved
service, please contact either of them via the receptionists.
Receptionists and Secretaries
We employ seven receptionists and one secretary to deal with your
enquiries and requests as efficiently as possible whilst respecting your confidentiality.

The nurses are available by appointment during normal
surgery hours and their services include:

The practice nurses are assisted by
healthcare assistants, whose services include new patient checks, blood pressure
checks and electrocardiograph (ECG).
GP Registrars
We are a GP training practice and Dr Lawes and Dr Finlay are recognised trainers.
Registrars in general practice are fully qualified doctors who also have at least
one year's experience in hospital medicine since qualifying. Whilst a registrar
is working in the practice you may be offered the opportunity of seeing him/her
alone or with Dr Lawes/Dr Finlay. The registrar will discuss specific cases with
Dr Lawes/Dr Finlay when necessary. Video recordings of consultations are a valuable
part of general practice training but these will only be undertaken with your
written consent.
Audit
We undergo periodic assessment when the quality of the notes we have may be examined
by a senior doctor. Confidentiality is maintained. However, if you do not want
your notes examined please inform the receptionist or your doctor.
