What is Anima?
Anima seamlessly and confidentially integrates with your medical record bringing improvements to how you access care and appointments and how our staff assess your condition. While you are still able to call the surgery, the online triage form through Anima will ask you the same questions, streamlining the process. This is another option for our patients to use to contact us about a medical problem, admin request or ask a simple question.
This is to inform you of an important change at Rusthall Medical Centre that will take effect on 7th July 2025. In an effort to improve access to healthcare and streamline the way you contact us, we will be adopting a new digital triage system called Anima. As part of this change, we will no longer be taking appointment requests via telephone.
What is Anima?
Anima is an easy-to-use digital platform that helps us manage appointment requests more efficiently, making it quicker and easier for you to get the care you need. By using Anima, you can fill out a short, simple form online to request an appointment, which allows our clinical team to assess your needs and book you in with the appropriate healthcare professional.
Benefits of Digital Triage:
- Faster Access to Care: Anima will help us prioritise appointments and ensure you are directed to the right service based on your symptoms.
- Convenience: Requesting an appointment will be more flexible and available at any time, reducing wait times on the phone.
- Better Organisation: We will be able to manage appointment requests more efficiently, allowing us to spend more time focusing on your care.
What About Patients Without Internet Access?
We understand that not everyone has access to the internet. If you do not have internet access, you can still call the surgery and our reception team will assist you in filling out the request form over the phone. We will ensure that no one is left behind in this transition.
Nurse Appointments
Please note that nurse appointments will still be booked by telephone as usual.
Prescription and Admin Requests
We kindly ask that all prescription requests and admin queries (such as sick notes or letters) are submitted via Anima to ensure that we can process these requests more efficiently.
Saturday Morning Walk-in Sessions
To help you get familiar with the Anima system, we will be holding Saturday morning walk-in session. These sessions are an opportunity for you to bring your device to the surgery, receive assistance from our team, and learn how to use Anima. No appointment is needed – simply come along!
